What if tenant says they don't qualify on Zillow?

If a prospective tenant says that they don't qualify over the phone or on Zillow, are we allowed to tell them that? Do we have to let them fill out an application even though they said they don't qualify?

I would say yes. Let them do it. Now, if you have a non-refundable application fee for all your applicants, well, there's a chance that they're not going to get their application fee back. They probably know that. You don't need to tell them that. It's probably best to just let them make the decision on their own.
