Should the one-month delinquent rent be deducted from the security deposit if military tenants did not notify their relocation?
How to Legally Get Your Unpaid Rent in 2025
My military tenants did not notify me of the relocation until they moved out And they asked me to deduct from the security deposit I don't like the idea. How can I pursue the delinquent one-month rent? His supervisor in the military is not responding to my emails. Who can I go to to pursue the lost rent?

I would first and foremost use the security deposit. Make sure you do so within 21 days. If this is California, you account for it. Make all the deductions. Anything in addition to that, if you're entitled to it, you can bring a small claims court action.
