Does a tenant need to acknowledge it, and someone else asked what if they refuse to sign and acknowledge it?

I was suggesting as a best practice to cover all your bases, try to get the tenant to sign an acknowledgement that they received it. If you can just document that it was provided, I would hope that that would cover you in a case where you eventually had to evict a tenant who refused to sign the 231c.
