The other one I saw in the chat like a while back was somebody said that they were claiming a habitability issue because one of four bathrooms was not working. What do you do when you have these sort of bogus habitability claims?

You need to look at the jurisdiction you're in because while it may not be a habitability issue, It may be housing service as defined under a local rent control jurisdiction or rent ordinance, which does impose obligations as well. Withholding rent for a dryer repair or for something. You cannot withhold.
